FALL-WINTER 2026 CAMPAIGN
Balmain Fall-Winter 2026 Campaign: L’heure du loup
Showcasing his debut collection, Fall-Winter 2026, which was shown in Paris in March of this year, the campaign highlights the collection’s strong, definitive silhouettes amplified by Balmain’s rich tradition of savoir faire. Antonin Tron’s debut was both ode to the very beginnings of Pierre Balmain’s haute couture maison in 1945, as well as his own love of the grit and glamour of the neo-noir heroines of the 1980s.
In the campaign, photographed by Suffo Moncloa, a Spanish artist renowned for his elegantly off-kilter, individualistic portraiture, Antonin Tron envisages the collection within a cinematic landscape, a dream of the lightness and darkness of the city, the setting a John Lautner mid-century sculptural home echoing Pierre Balmain’s own modern, architectonic approach to design, something Antonin Tron explored in his own way with Fall-Winter 2026.
Adding to this narrative, Antonin Tron also acknowledges Monsieur Balmain’s trailblazing valorisation of the women of Hollywood’s golden era. The campaign is presented as a series of film stills, akin to those from some of cinema’s greatest American and European auteurs; momentary pauses in a narrative which is shadowy and alluring, one charged with a knowing eroticism.
As the narrative unfolds, we see Antonin Tron’s protagonists, intriguing characters clad in the Fall-Winter 2026 collection’s leather aviator blazers, fil coupe dresses, and draped blouses structured around bold shoulders, engage in unspoken conversations, their interactions suffused with secrecy and suggestion. Yet for all of their cinematic allure, these images return us to Antonin Tron’s desire to reimagine the house of Balmain: One with a palpably reinvigorated sense of femininity, one denuded of flashiness and excess. Instead, he pays respectful homage to a woman’s uncompromising sense of sexuality and self-possession, which Antonin Tron achieves through architectural precision and a warm, sensual approach to couture-like opulence and embellishment.
